The Mill

After several years of rain, sleet, snow and hail, the Hildebrand-Beck Mill has had a collapse of one-third of the structure. However, this is not the end of the mill as we know it, but the beginning of something wonderful! The mill is awaiting a full structural resoration. After meeting with several architects and contractors, it has been decided that the mill will need to be partially taken down, stored in a dry environment, and then rebuilt using as much of the original materials as possible.

Most of the mill is still intact and awaiting its removal and storage, until such a time as the funds are available for a fullreconstruction on the site. The mill project is one that will prove to last through the test of time, as funds are currently being raised to complete the mill.

With its rich history and cultural relevance, the Beck Mill is a piece of both Cherokee and United States history.
